About Cartagena Welcome Center

A practical, English-first team helping North American, Canadian and European owners and buyers manage property and life admin in Colombia.

Why we exist

Owning or buying property in Colombia from abroad is doable — but distance, language, and local logistics can turn simple tasks into weeks of back-and-forth. Cartagena Welcome Center exists so you have one English-speaking counterpart who coordinates the work on the ground.

We handle the practical side: payments, inspections, vendor coordination, process guidance, and clear updates. When a matter needs a licensed professional — a lawyer, notary, accountant, or immigration specialist — we help you connect with qualified people and stay informed along the way.

How WFD fits

Cartagena Welcome Center is operated by WFD Investments S.A.S., a Colombian company based in Cartagena (NIT 901.699.516-7). That legal and operational backbone means there is a registered local entity behind the service brand — useful for contracts, invoices, and continuity.

We keep the public face simple: Cartagena Welcome Center is how clients find us and work with us. WFD is the company that operates the service. You’ll see that noted quietly in the footer on every page.

How we work

Plain English

Updates and options explained clearly — not buried in jargon or half-translated messages.

Honest scope

We say what we can do ourselves and where we bring in licensed professionals. No overclaiming.

Local presence

Coordination from Colombia, where the property, paperwork, and vendors actually are.

Steady communication

You shouldn’t have to chase status. We keep a rhythm of reports and next steps.

A note on advice: We provide coordination and process support. We do not offer legal, tax, or immigration advice ourselves. Where those services are needed, we help you work with qualified professionals.

Meet the owners

Americans who live here — and work on both sides

We’re American citizens who live in Colombia. We’ve built and run several businesses, from real estate investment and property management to the service industry, so we know firsthand what it takes to get things done.

That’s what we bring to every client: someone who understands where you’re coming from and how things really work here, and who bridges the expectations in between.

  • Fluent in Spanish — and at home in Latino culture.
  • Western business standards — clear communication, follow-through, and accountability.
  • Hands-on experience — in real estate investment, property management, and service businesses.
  • Relationships on both sides — we know how to manage vendors, partners, and clients so everyone stays aligned.
